The Glenelg estate
offers exclusive access to a combined
over 1300 ft of beach front both on the
Atlantic and the Caribbean sides of the island. Both beaches can be reached
via the private road running through the
estate. This is one of the least
frequented parts of Eleuthera, and you
will often find yourself alone on the
beach, with nobody else in sight for
miles.
The Atlantic beach
offers stunning reefs not far from the
sandy bottom shoreline. These reefs have
been described as some of the richest in
the Bahamas and can be snorkeled right
from the beach. Several private palapas
with a freshwater shower and a group of
casuarinas pine trees offer ample shade
and convenience for your days on the
beach.
On the “Caribbean”
side, the sandy bottom slopes so gently
that you can walk out for over 100 yards
with the water just chest high. This
side is often completely placid and
offers a paradise for children and those
who like it quiet and calm. Shelling is
excellent on this beach.
